The visual text, "Slumdog Millionare" has various movie techniques. For one, you have know clue about whats going on at the start of the movie. It starts to give flashbacks, and you assume one of the children is the main character. This technique is used to great effect, lasting the whole movie and not getting dull. Another technique would be when you find out that the present you are viewing is actually before he wins the 20 Million rupees.
Also, there are some great camera techniques used. For one, it places the camera low to show stregthand true overwelm-ingness of the character. It also reverses this effect and places the camera high to show how "small" or weak the character is. It also closes in on a characters eyes to show angeror sadness at a close range.
Some other camera shots used are near the end of the film. There are some side-on long shots of Latika running. These shots only last afew seconds, because it goes to shots of Jamal on the show and Salim.
