People Meter
The people meter is a small box (about the size of a book) that is connected to
the TV. It also has a remote allocated to it. Each family member is assigned a button
on the remote, which is set to each house hold members age/sex. When the TV is
turned on, the viewer must define there age via the remote, or the meter will flash.
It will send the information of what the viewer is watching every now and then.

Corronation Street/Shortland Street
Well, I had rehersals untill 7:30 , and I was hopeing
to get to watch some really awesome TV show.
Unfortunitly I had to watch Shortland Street and
Corronation Street. At a first glance of both, you would
think Corro would appeal to 40-60+, and Shortland
Street would appeal to 15-29. Oddly enough, my younger
sister (of 6) watchs Corronation Street and throughly injoys
it. She actualy knows half of the characters names. It seems
my mum has taken her to the "dark side". Shortland Street
keeps its target audience at Teens to Adults, and Corro with
6 - 70. Longest range ever.
